Spell the address out in full: a flat number above Viking Bay, a house name in Kingsgate, a holiday let near Joss Bay. Then pick the airport or destination, the date and time, and a saloon, estate, executive car or people carrier with up to six seats. The figure on screen is what the journey costs.

What never moves the fare, and the few things that can
Queues on the Thanet Way, overnight lane closures on the M2 or a detour round an incident on the M25: none of them alter the amount. Neither does the hour. A pickup at 3am, a landing near midnight, Sunday travel or a bank holiday all cost what the booking said.
Extra charges can only come from time spent waiting past the free allowance, a stop you add that was not booked, a major change of route requested mid-journey, and parking fees or tolls met along the way, where they apply. Two tolls matter from Broadstairs: the Dartford Crossing towards Stansted or Luton, charged from 6am to 10pm, and the Blackwall Tunnel towards London City, charged at all but the overnight hours.

The old town is the one place to plan. The York Gate narrows Harbour Street and the streets above the beach are busy in summer, so we settle the meeting spot with you; Albion Street car park and the harbour parking sit nearest Viking Bay. On the cliff-top roads of Kingsgate and the North Foreland, a house name helps the driver more than a number.
Prefer a landmark? Broadstairs station on Lloyd Road and the Westwood Cross car park both work. When we collect from home, the first 10 minutes after the agreed pickup time are free; longer waits are charged at the standard rate.

Terminals and the journey home
Name the terminal at booking. At Gatwick, North and South are two minutes apart on a free shuttle; Heathrow's Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5 each have their own road in, so it matters which one.
Coming back, the driver works to the plane's real arrival rather than the timetable, and delays beyond your control cost nothing extra. Take your time at the carousel: 45 minutes of waiting are free after an international flight and 30 after a domestic one, counted from when the plane lands.
